If you play around with buttons and settings on a brand new fancy camera trying to be all pro and shit, you are likely to press something and not have a clue what, and then not be able to use the camera as you would wish to right?
Well thats what I did yesterday.
I somehow changed the format of my pictures from JPEG to RAW. (do not mock me camera/ computer people out there. These are strange words to me.)
I did not know this however until I tried to upload my pictures onto IPhoto on the Mac and it wouldn't let me.
Very frustrating indeed.
I turned to my dearest friend google for an answer and after I realised what I had done I thought id just try another photo editing application. This led me to try Picasa.
It worked thank goodness and then the pictures all started turning a lovely shade of pink.
What the? I have no idea and if you can assist with an answer that would be marvelous. I guess its something to do with the ability to fine tune and edit the pictures later.
I started playing around with Picasa settings and managed and discovered that I could change the filters and colours and shade and light and god knows what else. It would appear you would need lots of time to play around with all these settings. That I have not, so I tweeked a bit here and tweeked a bit there and now I can say that I am very smug and happy with how my pictures turned out without even understanding why or how I did it. Sweet! Don't you just love it when things just work?
I think I discovered a few photographers tricks and now know what is possible by having the format of the pics set as RAW.
I then saved them back into my picture files on the computer and they automatically saved back as JPEG. Thank goodness because I wouldn't have a clue otherwise. ha ha!
You will be pleased to know that I was able to return appropriate settings back on the camera and now all things are back to normal in camera land. Phew!!
Imagine what I could produce if I did know what I was doing. ha ha.
Here is a snap shot of my 1st RAW pics...
The newest members of our little chicken family. They are so squishy.
Craft time. Drawing on the lino and eating glue session.
The beautiful roses in the gardens.
Darling girl Edith.
A baby in waiting. Come on out please and soon.
Not sure about this one but its a bit weird and cool all at the same time. I cant get enough of those roses.
and finally beautiful Benji, our newest mum's group member.
