Holiday flashbacks #3. Beachin it13:22:00
Hi there. All refreshed and partied out from the Australia Day weekend? Are you ready to face the return to work/school? Its actually quite funny, well not hilarious funny, just funny that even though I am not working in a school or have kids starting or returning to school, I still find myself fitting in with the school calender. Im excited about getting some routine back after being away and relaxing for so long. Im not even working either. Its just the teacher in me I guess. Its implanted in my psyche and i'll always be running along to the school calendar and term dates. It even feels a little bit wrong booking a holiday to WA in March that's not in the actual school holidays. (well not really!!!)
Australia day for us was a breakfast function, at the local hall out near the farm. It was the first time the community had done anything like this on Aus Day and I thought it was really nice. They did a few speeches, we sung the anthem and had a feast of eggs and bacon and some of the local ladies impressed with their handmade jams and sauces. Yummo!!
Followed by a roast lunch with all of Cams family, you could say I may have over done it on the food front. However, I figured that seeming I couldnt drink ice cold Vb's all day to celebrate the national day, I thought id make it up and eat beautiful, tasty food instead. What did you get up to?
Continuing with the photo theme, here are the last pics from our holiday down the beach. I cant wait to be back there again. Only one more month of summer to go. So sad.
Soon I shall be updating you on the garden and how it has survived the heat thanks to a few watering fairies I know. You should see the tomato harvest going on here every day for the last week. Sauce me up!!!
What are you going to miss about the holidays?
Where do you love to holiday?
