Stephie Bee and Sam tie the knot20:05:00
I think I might need a bit of a tune to intro this post. The return to the blogo-sphere; A bit of 'Eye of the Tiger' perhaps? Yeah!
That'll do…You have it playing in your head now don't you? Ha!!
How is everybody?
It has certainly been a while folks (five or six long weeks in fact) and that my friends is mostly due to my computer malfunctioning and for the plain boring fact that its just taking a long time to get a post together these days. Seriously, it has taken over a week to intermittently upload a dozen photos. Lucky I love my kids for all the blogging time they take away from this mother of theirs. I dont know how some of the bloggers do it out there?
It does feel good to be back here though I must say with yet another wedding to kick off a return post on the inter-webs. They really are just so much fun don't you think?
You may have seen on the Facebook page a few photos from Cam's cousin' wedding at the start of the month. That too was a lovely day. I dont think I have ever attended a wedding in 37 degree heat before and I tell you it was HOT. Really good for drinking chilled sparkling wine and not so good for makeup nor breastfeeding babies in a really nice dress! However the sparkling went down a treat and it was so nice to hang out, pretty much in our own backyard. Did you see our vines in the background of some of the ceremony pics?
Fast forward a couple of weeks and we had the pleasure of attending my cousin Sam and his beloved Stephie Bee's gorgeous wedding day on the 21st November in Geelong and Fyansford, Victoria.
As usual the bridal party looked a treat. The bride on arrival, not only took Sam's breath away, but all who were there to see. They both looked so happy and as always with this wedding caper, it was great to catch up with all the family and our friends.
It was another alcohol free wedding for me as I was designated driver and in between doing all the baby things that a four month old can muster up for his mother at a wedding, here are some of the pics that I captured. Unedited, for the most part purely because...'I aint got time for that!!'.
Now if you are a bit like me and like to know a few little secrets about the whereabouts of such awesome attire and wedding bits and bobs you can track the following by clicking on some the following links.
That gorgeous wedding gown is from Fairytales in Moonee Ponds. You should have seen how it sparkled when it caught the light. Just beautiful. As were the bridesmaids who were frocked up in a pretty Alannah Hill number. Patrice Duggan I am told put together all the bridal bouquets and the flowers dotted around at the reception were arranged by Georgie Stanton. Steph planned so very well for the reception and even had the old bucket full of thongs trick ready for the dancers to literally kick off their heels on the dance floor. It was the little things like this that were awesome ideas but also showed how much effort Steph had put in to make it all perfect. And it so was.
The wedding was at St Pauls and St Peters church in Geelong, followed by the reception at Truffle Duck in Fyansford which is just out of the city of Geelong. I had never heard of this place before and I must say it was brilliant. It had beautifully manicured gardens, the building was modern, yet had a heritage, old-style ambiance about it and the food and the service was excellent. So excellent was the service in fact, that when I had ducked out the back to feed the baby, not just one of the staff asked if I would like a drink or food, but five in as many minutes. Of course I was polite and declined for the first few offerings but upon the fifth I could resist no longer and had first dibs at some scallops, the tastiest little gnocchi morsels and oh golly gosh, prawns. Notice the plural there…Yummmm!!!
I didn't stay late enough into the celebrations to get a piece of that wedding cake, but I am told it was also made by Truffleduck and was delicious. They even had a little gelati stand which I missed out on too. Such a great idea!!
I cannot wait to see some of the professional photographs and how they captured the day and the ever so happy couple.
I am so grateful that I could be there to be part of this special day and I wish Stephanie and Sam all the happiness the world can muster for them.
Thanks for visiting today
On the wedding front while we are at it; If you are interested…
